- My most difficult experience during this project would have to be getting the anatomy of my alien as close to perfect (that i can accomplish...) as possible, and even then it looks strange. At first my guy was sitting on one of the rocks that I had made, but the legs proved to be too difficult to model; I then moved onto, and stuck with, a standing up/pointing pose, as if the alien man from a certain red planet is thinking "We don't have trees on this planet" and then "How do I know what a tree is if we don't have them on my planet?"
- I used the deco tool to create the tree and it's (nonmatching) shadow. It was a quick and efficient use of my time that created a decent end result. I can definitely see myself using the Deco Tool in the future, no matter how unethical it is!
- Having used the pen tool in Photoshop -it works the exact same way- I didn't have a too hard of a time with it, other than the normal computer issues.
- I used then pen tool a lot... alien, rocks, mountains; you name it.
- It was amazing. Definitely makes it a lot easier to manage the different layers, colors, lines, and groups that you might have on your stage. Also, groups are fantastic! I couldn't have made my alien (j'onn j'onzz for those who recognized him) without the help of grouping all the bits that made him what he is.
Also, why is it that strokes look much larger when you are not zoomed in on them. May seem like a dumb question, but as soon as you zoom out it's like they jump from .10 o 2.0. Right click and select 'zoom in' on your project inside firefox (or whatever browser you use) and see if you get the same result. Thanks.
