Storyboard
* The one symbol that I used from a previous project was my ball symbol. This was also the symbol that I modified. I modified it to look more like a football rather than a 3D beach ball.
*My frame by frame animation is my fire. My classic tween is my leaves that fall from the tree (this was appropriate because the classic is really simple and I didn't need to mess with the movement much, I just needed the leaves to fall from the tree to the ground). My motion tweens are My big drum, the football, and my person with the mohawk. I created a custom ease for the drum which allowed me to make the drum seem more faded and appear as if the fire destroyed it when the fire became larger (also a custom ease for my guy who gets hit by the leaves to appear as if he is completely covered by them) and a random ease for my ball which allowed my ball to disappear when the fire exploded (playing with the alpha assisted with this as well). One of my other motion tweens were my three people holding hands...my intentions was to make them appear dancing to the side as the drums were being played. My nested motion tween is my drummer in the right bottom corner.
*I used a lot of drawing tools, some including the pen, pencil, deco (fire and leaves), I was able to manipulate my objects and symbols with practicing my Bezier curves.
My biggest challenges were the motion editor (figuring out exactly what i needed to do to get end intentional results) and my nested animation took me awhile to get down right. My favorite results were my fire slowly growing with my frame by frame animation and my custom ease with the guy getting covered completely with the leaves. General details mainly consist of how it took me quite awhile to first play around with the tools to start creating what I wanted in my project...once I had that down then i started with my tweens (I spent most of my time doing this because it took me awhile to understand the ease's). I wanted to create a scene where people are playing drums around a fire, dancing and chaos happens when drums start to catch on fire. Seemed simple in my head but once I was creating it, it took me a lot more time and focus than i expected. Overall, this was a great growing experience for me understanding the capabilities that flash has.
* I did use the motion editor, and like i said above...this was one of my biggest challenges. There's so much you can do with this that I caught myself getting sucked in and messing with a lot of things that it allows you to do...I played around with it for awhile until i started to learn what I needed to manipulate to get the results I was looking for.
