How does the design of your buttons direct the user to know what button to click?
This question makes me chuckle a bit. My Star button has a large friendly 'GO' on it and is a green circle. My stop button is in the shape of a stop sign and has 'STOP' written on it. My link button is just a bit more mysterious in that it is simply labeled 'AlpineStars' and takes you to the AlpineStars website.
What state did you add the animated movie clip? What challenges did you experience?
I added animation changes on both the over and down states on all three buttons. This was the easy part of the assignment and I didn't run into any challenges except for that I had to go back and redo some work because I did not separate the skins, text and sound into different layers.
How does the design of your buttons relate your user's experience?
The buttons were designed relative to traffic and motorcycle riding. Also the AlpineStars logo always involves a star.
What challenges and benefits did you experience when adding actionscript to your movie?
I gained no benefits from adding ActionScript to my project, but I think that the reason for that is because I did something wrong that overcomplicated my midterm. But I haven't been able to figure out what. The benefit I did gain was getting acquainted with ActionScript and what the coding looks like and specific command function related to buttons.
Please share anything else regarding your experience.
This was insanely frustrating, and I wasted a lot of time I really could have used for other things. That being said, the in class troubleshooting that you took time for with us was not only the best outcome to the situation possible, but still quite helpful to help me understand from a conceptual point of view, regardless of not being able to figure out my specific issue.
